(Nathan Fake - Hard Islands Mix done for Allez- Allez (Right click and save-as) - tis an experiential, journeyful fruit of a mix)
Last night the LTT crew hit up Bleep at Cable - the new club in London Bridge. Although this little gem, which has only just opened, was virtually empty which meant the atmosphere wasn't as electric as I would have liked, it gave me a good chance to have a good snoop around.
It is decorated in a similar way to fabric (brick walls and industrial chrome cooling system) but it is all on one level and easier to navigate. It will be interesting to see what this place is like when it has grown a bit more of a reputation and packs out a bit, which believe me it will! Although it is not quite as big as Fabric, it is BIG, which I know will put a smile on your faces considering the worrying amount of closures of the big london clubs we have seen recently like Turnmills, Unit 7 and The End. The sound system was really fucking clear as well. One of those great moments when you leave a club in the morning with no ringing in your ears
The music certainly wasn't lacking either-
Nathan Fake smashed out a very experimental Abelton Live set for an hour. Plenty of tunes from his new album, Hard Islands, which is ace.
Robert Hood pulled out last minute which was a massive disapointment, until I discovered that they had drafted in none other than James Holden to cover! SICK!
The other highlight of the night in my opinion was Appleblim. Although he had the grave yard shift, he delivered some of the heaviest Dubstep I have heard while keeping the bass cleaner than a dentists toothbrush.
Watch out for more nights at this venue, as it is certainly worth a visit. I have a feeling this just might become my new weekend regular. Especially considering the line ups they have there. Check out next weekend for example -
